Edited by: Segeros Fang on 18/03/2008 08:28:53 Hi there, I am building up a new computer system (and I was wondering if I could get some feed back on it first (so I can find out if it is compatible with eve so I don't wast money on something I can't use), the specs are as follows: (I don't know much when it comes to computer components/compatible)
Power Supply: 750 Watt power supply
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad Processor Q6600. (2.4GHz, 8MB L2 Cache, 1066MHz FSB)
OS: Genuine Windows Vista(R) Home Premium OEM Version.
Memory: 4GB (4X1GB) NECC Dual Channel DDR2 800MHz SDRAM Memory.
Hard drive: 2 X 500GB SATAG/s Hard Drive with Native Command Queuing.
Video Card: (Two options here) Dual 512MB PCIe(TM)x16 NIVIDIA(R) Geforce(R) 8800 G-T w/TV-Out & Dual DVI. or one 768MB PCIe(TM)x16 NIVIDIA(R) Geforce(R) 8800 GTX w/TV-Out & Dual DVI.
Physics Accelerator: AGEIA(TM) PhysX(TM) Action Accelerator. (Not needed, but could be useful for other games)
Sound Card: Sounds Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Sound Card.
Network Card: (for internet) Integrated Gigabit Ethernet.
That about sums it up, Not sure what mother bored is been used.
So can any one give me any feedback and/or advice on the system? (Also, I'm not just buying this for eve, my current system is just far to outdated)

Edited by: Segeros Fang on 18/03/2008 08:36:12 Thank you for your feedback. I know very few games use the AGEIA card, but I have seen a few interesting ones that do(If only I could remember the name, dammit). I'll see what I can do about the RAM (buying this system from a store, so my options are limited) buy I can always change the RAM over after I get it.
Two more question: Do you think the RAM would be fast enough at 800mhz? Is there a better RAM within the same price range as what I have in there now?
Thank you for your help. ( I don't mind if its over kill, I prefer it that way )

O.k, Thank you for the help. It has been a long time since I actually did anything regarding hardware. (Mostly work with networks, well.. I would if I had work). At least now I know that I'm not getting something that can't do what I want it to.
Sorry, two more questions again, Do you know if the OS listed is 32bit or 64bit? because I have heard that 32bit systems can't use the entire 4GB of ram.
What do you think would be the better choice out the the graphics cards listed? I think the 2x 512mb (more memory, I guess it could do 2 things at a time) would unless games are only able to use 1 card at a time.

I see thank you for all your help, It has been most... helpful. I have one final question then. (lets hope its the final) If 32bit OS can't read the 4gb, Only 3gb, Does that mean that 1gb is wasted or just not displayed but still used?
